MyFitnessPal

During my time at MyFitnessPal, I played a pivotal role in shaping the brand’s creative direction and visual presence. As Senior Brand Designer, I led the development of brand motion design, establishing a distinct motion language that brought the brand to life across campaigns, product touchpoints, and social media.

 

I created MyFitnessPal’s brand guidelines, defining visual standards for typography, color, and imagery to ensure consistency across all teams and platforms. These guidelines became the foundation for a unified brand experience company-wide.

Nutrition Tracking for Real Life

Part of our brand refresh was the Go-To-Market launch of our new brand positioning "Nutrition tracking for real life". The goal of this campaign was to show how our brand is approachable and our product is made for all. It also redefined how we normally perceive nutrition - it's not always a salad! And you can still reach your health goals with a plate of wings, MyFitnessPal just helps you know where you stand.

My role as Senior Brand Designer was to implement designs across multiple channels: OOH, YouTube, In-App, Email, and Social (Paid and Organic). The challenge was making sure that the campaign visually stuck out from our day-to-day branded assets, while also considering how to keep the designs evergreen and templated. Since I had built out our brand guidelines, I took a lot of the rules and principles from that work and developed a published library of assets for batch editing and scaling brand elements, as well as introduced motion graphics.
